About
The Sugar Land SciTeen Program is a summer volunteer program for high school students at the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land (HMNS Sugar Land) in Texas. SciTeens help teach science to museum guests by leading hands-on demonstrations and presentations for visitors of all ages. Along the way, they build skills they can list on resumes, college applications and future job applications. They also get to know other teens who are interested in different areas of natural science. The program takes place in person at the museum's Sugar Land location on University Boulevard. Each SciTeen must agree to volunteer for at least 4 weeks during the summer.
Requirements
Students must be entering 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade in the fall after the program. Applicants need permission from a parent or guardian and must finish the application process before the deadline. The museum plans to open the Summer 2027 application next year, and students can fill out an interest form on the HMNS Sugar Land volunteer page to get the link when it opens.
