About
The Lazarus Energy Empowerment Program (LEEP) is a year-long internship run by Lazarus Energy Holdings in Houston, Texas, that prepares high school students for the workforce. Interns build personal skills such as mindset, social awareness, problem solving, teamwork, planning and communication. They also learn about the many kinds of jobs in the energy industry and meet professionals from each sector. The program includes college preparation through campus visits, admissions guidance and help with financial aid planning. Career preparation covers job skills, goal-setting, career pathways and entrepreneurship. LEEP works with community partners, including several Houston high schools such as Scarborough, Sterling, Worthing, Yates and Milby, along with Communities in Schools Houston. The program says it has served more than 300 high school students since it started, and that all of its interns have graduated from high school.
Requirements
