About

The Mount Sinai Hospital Placement (HP) Track is a summer internship for New York City high school juniors and seniors who want to learn about careers in health care. It is offered through CEYE, the youth education program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The HP Track is one of four tracks in CEYE's Internship Placement Program. Each intern is placed in a single department in the Mount Sinai Health System. Interns work there every day with a mentor and get hands-on experience. The program is held in person, and Mount Sinai calls it highly competitive.

Requirements

Open to current high school juniors and seniors who attend school in New York City. CEYE's summer programs use open enrollment, so any NYC high school student can apply, but applications are accepted only during CEYE's posted application window. Track-specific requirements are listed in the HP Track program document linked from the CEYE page. Mount Sinai says it will release information about Summer 2027, including how and when to apply, in December 2026, so interested students should check the CEYE page then for the new application timeline and the full list of requirements.
