About

Academy for All is a free, one-week residential computer science summer program run by the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin in Austin, Texas, for high school students entering 11th or 12th grade. Students choose a Standard Edition, using Arduino and C++ to build an LED light show and learn about careers in tech, or a Machine Learning Edition, using Python to train their own model. Both include guest speakers and social activities. The 2027 program runs May 30 to June 5, 2027, on the UT Austin campus, with classes in the Gates Dell Complex. Students live in on-campus residence halls with counselors present 24 hours a day, and breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. Travel scholarships of up to $500 are available for students with financial need.

Requirements

The program is for students entering 11th or 12th grade in fall 2027, and all skill levels are welcome. Its FAQ says students based in the United States may apply.
