About

NYU Precollege Fall is a semester-long program at New York University for current high school juniors and seniors who want to take undergraduate courses for college credit. Students enroll in regular NYU courses taught by NYU faculty. Courses are offered both in person on NYU's campus and online. Subject areas include arts and media, STEM, humanities and social sciences, and business. The Fall 2026 semester runs from September 2 to December 22, 2026, including the exam period. Tuition is charged per credit. For Fall 2026, a 3-credit course costs $6,276 and a 4-credit course costs $8,368. Admitted students pay a $250 non-refundable deposit that is applied to tuition. Admission is selective. NYU also offers Precollege terms in the spring and summer. Taking part does not guarantee admission to an NYU degree program.

Requirements

Open to current 11th and 12th graders for the fall term; a 3.0 cumulative GPA is recommended, and good academic and disciplinary standing is required. Students must attend for the full term and register for at least one course. International applicants may need English language testing. Submit an online application with an official high school transcript and a $50 application charge; a 250-500 word personal statement is optional.
