About
The Lockheed Martin Space High School Internship Program is a summer internship for high school students at Lockheed Martin Space facilities across the United States. Interns spend at least nine weeks working alongside aerospace scientists and engineers on Lockheed Martin Space projects. The internship is in person at participating sites, which typically include Denver, Colorado; Sunnyvale, California; Cape Canaveral, Florida; King of Prussia, Pennsylvania; Huntsville, Alabama; and Herndon, Virginia. The 2027 program runs from June to August 2027. Lockheed Martin hosts a fall virtual information session for interested students.
Requirements
Students must be at least 16 when the internship starts, be enrolled at a local high school and live within commuting distance of a participating facility, and show interest in a STEM career. Seniors graduating in May are not eligible and are directed to Lockheed Martin's college internships. Applications for 2027 are open from November 2, 2026 to January 3, 2027.
