About

The Brigham and Women's Hospital Youth Summer Program now runs as part of the Mass General Brigham Summer Jobs Program, a paid summer job for Boston public high school students who want to explore careers in healthcare. Mass General Brigham combined the Brigham and Women's Hospital Student Success Jobs Program and the Massachusetts General Hospital Youth Scholars Program into one unified Mass General Brigham Youth Program. Summer jobs are offered at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, and Mass Eye and Ear. Students work in hospital departments such as emergency medicine, nursing, neurology, radiology, psychiatry, pathology, and research labs. Supervisors are trained to mentor teens, and students attend weekly workshops on personal and professional development.

Requirements

Open to rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders from Boston Public Schools. Revere and Chelsea High School students who are already in the Mass General Brigham Youth Program are also eligible. Students apply through the Boston Private Industry Council (PIC) by contacting their school's PIC career specialist.
