About

UNH Tech Camp is a summer STEM camp run by the University of New Hampshire's College of Engineering and Physical Sciences for students in grades 5 through 12. High school students take part through two programs: TechVenturers, for students entering grades 8 to 12, and TechLeaders: Bridge to College, for students entering grades 10 to 12. In TechVenturers, students spend a week on one hands-on project, such as regenerative medicine bioinformatics or a data science project. TechLeaders also centers on a single in-depth project for the week, such as cryopreservation lab work or modeling the heat equation with MATLAB and thermal imaging. It adds leadership and college readiness activities that introduce college-level expectations and pathways in STEM. In 2026, sessions ran during the weeks of July 13 and July 20 on the Durham campus, with day and residential options. TechVenturers cost $1,300 for commuters or $2,100 for residential campers, and TechLeaders cost $1,500 for commuters or $2,300 for residential campers. Commuter prices include lunch, and residential prices include housing and all meals. A limited number of need-based scholarships covered half the cost.

Requirements

TechVenturers is open to students entering grades 8-12, and TechLeaders: Bridge to College to students entering grades 10-12; some projects have narrower grade ranges, and the heat equation track requires Algebra I. In 2026, enrollment opened February 12 on a first-come, first-served basis and closed June 12, 2026. Most students did not need an application, but students seeking need-based scholarships had to apply by March 15.
