About

The InternNE program is a paid internship matching program created by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, with the aim of connecting students looking for internship opportunities with employers in Nebraska. The process is simple and easy to use, with students signing up and creating a profile on the platform, after which they can begin searching for available internships for which they are qualified. Employers can also create a profile and post available internships they would like to fill with qualified candidates. The platform also offers internship grants for businesses looking to host interns. If you are a student seeking internship opportunities or an employer looking for interns in Nebraska, take advantage of the InternNE program to find the best internship match.

Requirements

To be considered for the InternNE internship program, applicants must be students who are actively pursuing a degree or certification program at an accredited post-secondary institution, or have graduated from such an institution within twelve months of application. Applicants must also be able to provide proof of residency in Nebraska or attend school in Nebraska, and must have an available U.S. tax ID number. Successful applicants will need to undergo a background check and may be required to provide additional documentation, such as transcripts or letters of recommendation. Additionally, applicants must match with an employer who is listed on the InternNE website and has an available internship position that aligns with their career interests and academic background.
