About

Illinois Tech Elevate College Prep Summer Programs are STEM-focused summer courses that Illinois Institute of Technology offers to high school students. They are open to rising high school freshmen through rising seniors, who are typically 14 to 17 years old. Illinois Tech also runs separate summer programs for middle school students. Course topics include coding and programming, robotics, sustainability, science and research, and the human sciences. Students choose from overnight, daytime, and virtual programs. Overnight students live on Illinois Tech's Mies Campus in Chicago, and overnight courses run for one or two weeks. Past overnight options have included Build Your Own Robot, Cybersecurity Bootcamp, Experiment in Architecture, Pre-Health Academy, and Summer Legal Academy. Virtual courses are taught live and are interactive, with options such as AI Explorers and Data Science Basics. Every participant earns a certificate of completion. The programs charge a fee, and full payment for summer 2026 was due May 22, 2026.
