About

The Atlantic County Summer Youth Work Experience Program is a paid summer job program for Atlantic County, New Jersey residents ages 16 to 24, run by the Atlantic County Office of Workforce Development. Participants are placed with local employers, which include government agencies, local businesses and nonprofit organizations. The 2026 program lasted eight weeks, with participants working 25 hours per week between June 1 and August 31. Pay in 2026 was $17.00 per hour. The program aims to give young people paid work experience and work readiness education, show them careers available in the area, and help them build a career pathway. The county notes that income earned through the program will not affect cash assistance. The program office is at 2 S Main St., 2nd Floor, in Pleasantville, New Jersey.
