About

The Jersey 1st Internship Program is a policy and advocacy internship for high school, college and graduate students who care about New Jersey public policy. Jersey 1st is a New Jersey advocacy organization founded in 2018 by tax policy lawyer Rosemary Becchi. It focuses on state taxes, regulation and the use of public resources. The organization recruits interns for summer, spring and fall terms. Interns join one of three focus areas: social media and communications, grassroots and community outreach, or political and legal research. The work is collaborative and covers research, communications, networking, community service and grassroots advocacy. Applicants can ask to work in person, virtually or in a hybrid format. The organization's mailing address is in Morristown, New Jersey. Its website does not say whether the internship is paid.

Requirements

To apply, complete the online form on the Jersey 1st website with your contact details, most recent school, current year, a preferred area of interest and an attendance preference, along with a resume upload.
