About

Chem-E Camp is a one-week summer camp in chemical engineering run by the University at Buffalo School of Engineering and Applied Sciences in Buffalo, New York, for high school students entering 11th or 12th grade. The camp helps students explore chemical engineering as a possible college major through hands-on and digitally simulated activities. Campers meet university faculty, students and industry professionals, and they have lunch with UB experts and practicing professionals. The 2026 camp ran July 13 to 17 on UB's North Campus. Tuition is $400 for the week and covers all camp materials, food and transportation. Need-based scholarships can cover the full cost for students from households earning less than $60,000 a year, and scholarship consideration is part of the regular application. The camp is held in person during the day.
