About

The SheTech Summer Internship Exploration is a two-week summer program from Women Tech Council that introduces high school girls to careers at tech companies in Utah's Silicon Slopes region. The program is an extension of SheTech and is meant to keep girls connected with the tech industry after the school year ends. Participants visit technology companies, meet women working in tech, and hear professionals describe what a typical workday looks like. Students also brainstorm ideas to solve tech problems and learn how a STEM degree can shape a career. The program uses a hybrid format, mixing in-person and virtual sessions. The internship exploration takes place in June. It has run since 2017 and has connected hundreds of girls with Silicon Slopes companies.
