SheTech Student Board

The SheTech Student Board is a leadership group for high school girls who want to help shape SheTech's STEM programs. Board members help direct SheTech programs, inspire their peers to explore science and technology, and receive mentorship from industry executives. SheTech is an initiative of Women Tech Council, a national organization headquartered in Utah, and helps high school girls explore STEM education and technology careers through hands-on experiences, mentorship, internships, and events. Its best-known event, SheTech Explorer Day, is a free, hands-on day of STEM activities that brings together more than 3,000 girls from hundreds of schools; the 2027 Explorer Day is set for the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy, Utah. The Student Board sits alongside SheTech's other student offerings, including a summer internship, a media internship, scholarships, and clubs. The 2025-2026 board roster lists students from many Utah high schools, often with several representatives from the same school. SheTech's site does not publish the board's term length, meeting schedule, format, or any cost, so students should confirm those details with SheTech, which is based in Salt Lake City, before applying.

Open to students who will be in 9th-12th grade in the coming school year (SheTech serves high school girls); one or two representatives chosen per school, and educators may nominate students. Apply through a short online form covering your school, grade, past SheTech involvement, and why you want to join. Members must attend a kickoff meeting in September and an Explorer Day registration rally in January.
