About

The Bridge to Calculus Summer Program is a free seven-week summer math and science program at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, for high school students in Boston Public Schools. It prepares students for AP Calculus by strengthening precalculus skills and problem solving, and it introduces biology, chemistry, physics, statistics and AI. Mornings start with precalculus and calculus instruction, followed by sessions on math skills, math debates and financial literacy, including banking, credit and student loans. Each student also chooses one enrichment track: biology and chemistry, physics, statistics, AI, photography, game programming or video editing. Fridays bring robotics workshops, faculty and guest talks on topics such as game theory and linear algebra, and alumni panels. The 2026 program ran Monday through Friday from June through August in person on the Boston campus.
