About

JCamp, run by the Asian American Journalists Association, is a free six-day national journalism program held in a different city each year. Tuition, lodging, meals and domestic travel are covered. Students report and publish multimedia stories on JCamp Live, practice anchoring and do breaking-news live shots alongside working journalists.

Requirements

Open to current high school sophomores and juniors of any background; AAJA membership is not required. International students may apply if they will be in the U.S. before and after camp. The 2026 deadline was January 11, 2026; 2027 dates have not been announced.
