About

Cornell Precollege Winter Online Courses let high school students take real Cornell University undergraduate classes online during a three-week session in January. Students study alongside Cornell undergraduates and earn college credit recorded on a Cornell transcript. The Winter 2027 session runs January 4 to January 22, 2027, with final exams on January 22 and 23. Some courses meet live on a set schedule, while others are pre-recorded so students can work on their own time. Tuition for Fall 2026 through Summer 2027 is $2,013 per credit. No deposit is required for winter courses, but full payment is due within four business days of enrolling.

Requirements

Students must be between 15 and 19 years old when their class begins and must have finished their sophomore year (10th grade) of high school. There is no required minimum GPA. Applications for Winter 2027 opened October 15, 2026; the online application form is due November 23, 2026, and all application materials are due December 1, 2026. Cornell reviews applications on a rolling basis, and courses can fill before the deadline, so applying early helps. After acceptance, students choose courses by December 10, 2026.
